As well as writing books for children it is a little known fact that Ransome wrote about the literary life of Russia before, during and after the the revolutions of 1917.

This lead to him providing information to the secret intelligence service whilst he was also suspected by M15 of being a spy.

As for Marple, she just likes messing about on boats. As we are gearing up to (finally) publish ‘The Sizewell Murders’ - next month (as a ‘novelette’ in the first instance) - the post is brief this time and fortunately focuses mainly on the self-same, not Ibiza but the Norfolk Broads.
